You found out that your close friend is getting married, and she chose you as the maid of honor!  You might wonder; what am I going to say at the reception? Next, let’s talk about your speech. You want to acknowledge the couple. Spend a few seconds flattering the groom. You can mention good qualities about him. Then, tell the bride how you feel about her. Bring up a great memory the two of you share. Don’t be too personal. It’s ok if you get emotional, as this will happen when you are speaking from your heart. Follow up with a great joke that will make everyone laugh. This will lighten up the mood. Let her know how beautiful she looks. Keep your speech 2 to 3 minutes long. Short, sweet, and to the point is the perfect way to think of it.

Finally, let’s talk about your closing. It’s simple to think of a closing right? You just wish the couple the best and you’re done! – Wrong. You want to thank guests for coming. It’s important to turn and speak directly to the guests. This added touch will make it sincere. Now, you can thank the couple, and wish them the best. If you are married, then it’s a good idea to give the couple advice.
